Hand-stitched heirlooms from the Vale of Kashmir.
Crewel embroidery is wool worked on natural cloth — slow, deliberate, and unmistakably Kashmiri. Each piece in our atelier is stitched by a single artisan, often over weeks. We bring them straight to you.
Pieces for every room.
A single piece. A single pair of hands.
Crewel is an embroidery technique with roots tracing back to the Mughal courts. A single artisan begins a piece and finishes it — often over weeks of careful, repetitive work. The wool is naturally dyed; the cloth is linen, cotton, jute, or velvet from the region. Nothing is rushed and very little has changed in five centuries.
We work with a small number of family-run ateliers in and around Srinagar. Every piece is signed on the reverse with the maker’s initials.
